Domaine Valentin Piquereaux - Bulles de Valentin Rouge NV

Bulles de Valentin Rouge is a unique and unusual sparkling intensely carmine-coloured red wine. Made up of organically grown Merlot, which undergoes a short vinification in stainless steel tanks to emphasise the fruity notes. It is then followed by a 2nd fermentation in the the traditional method (like Champagne) and aged for 9 months to allow the flavours to concentrate. On the nose, this wine offers bright scents of wild strawberries and cherries. On the palate it is fresh and elegant, with fine, persistent bubbles that don't drown out the fruit. The finish is lengthy and refreshing.

Delicious on its own, it's a fizz that can handle some red meat or mushroom dishes.

Contains sulphites.
