Domaine Valentin Piquereaux - Rouge Canon 2024

Rouge Canon is here to signal upheaval in the Bordeaux wine landscape. It is an intensely ruby-red organic wine, made of 60% Merlot & 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes are harvested late in the season, almost at the point of overripeness that are then vinified like a rosé wine to ensure that despite the traditionally heavy grape varieties, the tannins are soft and fine. On the nose, this wine offers beautiful strawberry, stone fruits and a hint of spice. On the palate, Rouge Canon is fruity and easy to drink, with a light finish.

Easy to drink on its own, could even handle a little bit of chilling (around 20 minutes in the fridge before opening). Enjoy it with a burger or chicken wings.
